6 Steps to Make Money Selling Stuffs Online



It is the dream of many people to make money online selling stuffs. Like any other business there are some knowledge you need in order to be able to sell things online and make money.  The following are six steps you need to make in order to be a seller online . 


1. Choose what to sell

For you know thar you can sell your unused items online and make extra cash.  Look around your home,  am sure you will see items that are still useful but no more for you in particular.  Look for phones that are still working but you don't use either because is old fashion or you've grown past it.  Look for clothes that are still fair but you are no more wearing maybe because they are more sizing you, is outdated or maybe you have more than enough. 

Apart from unused items, you can sell stuffs that are still good online.  There are many e-commerce sites accepting merchants that want to sell on their websites. 

2. Choose the Correct site to sell your stuffs

Different items sell differently in different online market platforms. You own is to find out which market place your product is going to sell quickly and profitably. For instance,  used products sell well in eBay,  mobile app like LetGo work well for items you need to sell in -person and Craigslist is a popular platform to sell used furniture.


3. Price effectively 

A very important factor when selling your products online is to price them well.  You price should not be too high or too low to your competitors. Either of the two will affect the sale of your product.  It will be good to research on how much your competitors are selling exactly what you want o sell.  However,  you are the one that will ultimately determine how much you want to sell it because you want to want profit from it and you are the one that know the good and the bad side of your profit.  How much the buyer will spend on the product after buying it is also a determinant factor in pricing the item. Shipping is also a determinant factor for the price.

4. INCLUDE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 

Make sure you include a product description that is accompanied with photos when listing your items for sale. please,  include a list of all defects and imperfections when selling used items. This will allow your customers to know exactly what they are buying. People will believe you deceive them when what they buy is different from the description you gave. 

5. Ship securely and quickly

That is tendency that anyone that orders something from you need such thing quickly. Therefore,  make it your habit to be shipping any items you sell quickly. Procrastination could also set in — an order placed a day earlier may not get shipped out for a week. You should know that your customers will like and rate you high if your items arrive quickly.

Packaging also matters when it comes to shipping your items. Make you you pack your item for shipping with a good looking wrapping paper or specialty box and in a neat manner. You can also personalized it by including a handwritten note. 


6. Value your customers  and their feedbacks

Above everything, you have to value your customers especially their feedbacks. Doing so will help you to always be in the market as you will know what they want and how to satisfy them. Once customers satisfaction is guaranteed then you are good to go. In return, the customers will rate you high and consumers tend to gravitate toward the sellers who have top ratings, good reviews, and who are quick to respond to customer complaints. If they make a mistake, they always overcompensate to take care of the buyer. That means paying for return shipping costs, being quick to respond to any issues or concerns, and ensuring products arrive quickly and in one piece.

One thing you should also practice is to be responding to all customer complaints or requests, both online and offline. Customers might be rude but remain calm and helpful because you are the one that one to collect the money.
